System: MacBook Pro, 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM.

Install command line gcc compiler.
# Install XCode
# Open XCode.
# Goto XCode->Preferences->Downloads->Components
# Install the Command Line Tools component.
# Quit XCode after install completes.
# Verify: In a shell type the command ''gcc --version''. It should work, as in not fail.
